Before Telenet acquired the Electrabel cable tv companies,

this head-end was used to capture and redistribute tv & radio signals

for the regional cable distributor IVEKA.

This was before coaxial cable to households was also used for

telephony and internet.

Now it serves as a head-end for telephony & internet.

TV & radio signals are captured via satellite or fiber optic link in Mechelen

and transported to head-ends across Flanders.
